Corrales Elementary School Reviews

My children have been at Corrales Elementary for 4 years. I am a former teacher, so my expectations of a school are high. Corrales Elementary has met and even exceeded those expectations, so I am well-pleased with the school. Anyone would be lucky to have their child attend Corrales Elementary.

Corrales Elementary is a wonderful school. Although my two children are zoned to go to a different school, we go through a paper process each year to allow them to attend Corrales. The curriculum is on the cutting edge of what is current in education with hands-on learning, investigation (constructivist-based) math, and balanced literacy. There is a positive, learning approach to discipline. My favorite thing about the school is the sense of community--parents are encouraged to be involved through volunteerism and parent-teacher conferences. The children, too, take part in pride and ownership of their school through frequent child-centered activities like the Fall Carnival, and Celebration of Children. My children feel safe and happy at Corrales, and I know they are learning a lot.
