Menaul School Reviews

Both my children went to Menaul and I was very disappointed in the education they recieved.

This school is great i get alot of attention fro the teachers and i always get help if i ever need it. I also play football and run track here and the coaches not only help you physical, but discipline you in a way to help you in life..

Menaul School has a devoted teaching staff and a very low student teacher ratio. This insures that an intensity of focus in the classroom. Students simply cannot get lost in this very small academic setting. Religious tolerance is stressed. Values clarification and community service are part of the circulum.

My son is now in his second year at Menaul. We have absolutely no regrets about sending our son to Menaul. Wonderful administration, the best teachers there are, a small classroom size, wonderful activities such as the all school hikes and ski trips. The all inclusive religion curriculum, and an entire organization that wants nothing more than to see the kids succeed. Even better, the kids know it too. Menaul School is truly a family.

My wife and I have two exchange students, and I am personally a Menaul Alumni.the school is wonderful! I am excited about the direction and focus of this school. I consider it a privilage to be invovled with Menaul.

I have three kids at Menaul (two in middle school and one in high school), all three love it and are thriving. Menaul offers small classes with a challenging curriculum and a faculty that is second to none. Menaul has a beautiful, spacious campus that is conveniently located. There are many opportunities for parent involvement as well as a great parent association. I would definitely recommend Menaul School!

There is no other school quite like Menaul School, just as there is no other state quite like New Mexico. If you have a good student they will flourish anywhere, and the colleges will find them. But if your teenager is unimpressed by the need for higher education, it takes a whole school to keep him/her involved, to keep him/her pursuing the high school diploma, to keep him/her out of avenues that lead to future deadends. Now that is an education. One which puts Menaul above the curricular pursuits of public schooling. One which, only at a school representative of such diversity culturally/religiously/academically/socioeconomically/athletically, enables the students, maybe the parents, to be more globally oriented, ready to go into the 21st century.

Menaul offers a student community that is un-matched. No one is overlooked. My kids are receiving the education they deserve.

Menaul is an outstanding school where students are valued as individuals and accepted for the unique qualities that they bring to the classroom. At Menaul, 'diversity' is not just some politically correct word that is bandied about, but an actual reality where people are judged by their character and contributions. The teachers and administrators are dedicated and available to meet with parents about any of their concerns. 98% of students go on to college and many of them to top schools: Dartmouth, Stanford, etc. I highly recommend this school.

We are new to Menaul this year. My daughter came from an area public school where she was simply lost in the large classroom enviroment. At Menaul the class size is much smaller and there is time for individual attention. So far, so good. My daughter is working hard and putting in much more effort than she had at the public school. She played sports during the semester for the first time. Everyone plays at Menaul. It was great to she her come home tired from practice and ready to attack her homework. I got a personal phone call from the Headmaster a month ago to tell me my daughter got a 100% on her math test. That kind of committment from an administrative staff is rare. We are happy with Menaul.

As a former student I was very pleased with the education that I recieved.

I am very plesed with Menaul, I have one sone attending and plan on sending all of my kids there. The teacher/student ratio is low, the teachers are quick to contact parents. I had an issue resolved in a timely manner. I am pleased overall with the academic standard. There are some extracurricular events offered. A good school for a sensitive student.

Menaul School is horrible. The teachers don't know how to teach. At least they think they know how. It is very poor and has no money and is a huge waste of money. I am a student at Menaul and I am leaving after christmas. My parents are disgusted by it's staff and programs. The only reason why they make the parents pay so much is because they have no money so they have to raise the tuition to make money even though it doesn't help. All the teachers don't teach the kids. Half of them in my grade are failing and the teachers don't inform the parents.

Menaul is a big waste of money, as it is going down the tubes FAST. The administration does little or nothing to help students when they have problems (not just academically related but issues like harassment, for example). The teachers, with the exception of a few, have very little respect for the students. If college prep means unbelievably easy classes where students basically sit and do nothing combined with insanely impossible classes in which nothing the student does, no matter how hard they try, is good enough according to the teacher, then who needs it?

this is a warning to from a preivous student to any parent that wishes to send their child to menaul school: DO NOT BOTHER. Here are the reasons why; 1)a great deal of teachers are biased and tend to pick favorites while other students are left to fend for themselves 2) the teachers often grade so harshly that not one student passes and when someone asks for help the teachers offer little or none at all. Overall, I would say Menaul is not worth the money send children somewhere else.

My nephew attended Menaul School last year. The quality of academic programs is well above average. The availability of music, art, sports and other extracurricular activities is phenomenal. The school always encourages parent involvement/ participation. Unfortunately, when my nephew started falling behind in a few of his classes, his parents were not notified in a timely manner. He was moved to the next grade level, but with a 'D' average. He has great potential, and I know if his parents were informed immediately of his academic performance (or lack thereof), he would have been set straight.

The Menaul School has no administrative control. The teachers are clueless. I was extremely disappointed with the school & removed my child after 9 weeks. The teachers failed to communicate with us. My child did not understand what was expected. Many of the staff left. The school is rapidedly declining.

At menaul school there is no parent involement what so ever. As a student I have had many problems here and they will not consider helping me. The only thing I like about this school is my friends.

I graduated from this school in the 1990s. It provided me with an excellent foundation for my undergraduate and graduate schooling. I would recommend parents to look at this school for their children - it has a wonderful college prepatory program. When I attended Menaul, the emphasis was not on the Presbyterian faith, but on Christianity, which makes it more open to all those in the Christian faith - not just Presbyterians.

A very safe school campus, a place where all students feel supported and accepted. Menaul provided a great college preparation for my three children.
